Our cancellation policy is as follows:

If you approve of the proposed bike tour either by email, phone, fax or with our online form, we will need  a 10 % deposit per person from the final tour price. Please allow 6 to 8 business days for confirmation. We will confirm your bike tour in writing and your confirmation will contain a statement reflecting your deposit and the balance due. The final payment becomes payable 2 weeks prior to departure. 

If you opt to make your payment by credit card, we charge a 3.9 % service fee on the full tour amount including deposit. This covers a portion of what we are charged by our credit card processing service. If you wish to change any part of the bike tour after receipt of your deposit to Tour de Spokes, (even for minor changes as adding a night of lodging, adding a person or adding bike rentals, there will be an alteration fee of 40 Euros per person.

You can cancel in writing at anytime before your bike tour begins. In case of cancellation the following will apply: Cancellation until 28 days before your departure will result in a handling charge of 10%, minimum 50,- € fee. Cancellation of the bike tour until the 8th day prior to departure will result in a 50% penalty charge and cancellation from the 7th day to the beginning of the bike tour will result in a 70% penalty. If you do not begin the bike tour, there will be a 100% penalty. If for any reason the tour operator cannot perform the duties of the bike tour as written 14 days prior to the beginning of the journey, all payments will be refunded immediately.

Tour de Spokes / DRF GmbH reserves the right to cancel a fully guided group tour if the minimum of 8 participants is not reached 21 days before the beginning of the group tour. If for any reason due to unusual and unforeseeable events and/or natural catastrophes a bike tour is cancelled, all payments will be refunded and the contract for the tour will be cancelled. Refunds are given in US dollars based on the value of the Euro at the time of refund.

Luggage during a bicycle tour is subject to natural special demands because of daily transportation, therefore the maximum limit of replacement for lost luggage is 360 Euros per piece.

We STRONGLY RECOMMEND travel insurance. Everyone's needs are different but we suggest the following coverages: trip cancellation and interruption, travel delay, baggage delay, emergency evacuation and financial default.

You are responsible to have a valid passport and/or visa if applicable when traveling to European countries. If through your fault a passport or visa is not given and you cannot begin the bike tour as written, you will be charged the corresponding cancellation charges. Remember that bike tours are active journeys and you are responsible for your own health.

All tours in our description and catalogs, flyers and web sides are ONLY, SPECIAL and DESIGNED from Tour de Spokes, responsible for the organization and the implementation is our tour partner DRF Donauradfreunde GmbH  M. Lötsch GmbH, 4090 Engelhartszell, Firmenbuch: 116614, Kreisgericht Ried

Customer funds security according to European Union overall guidelines of 13.06.90 (90/314/EWG, article 7) in Austrian accordance with travel agency safety device regulation (RSV) BGBI.II No. 10/1998 idf BGBI.II No. 118/1998 of DonauRadFreunde M. Lötsch GmbH, Ronthal 2, A-4090 Engelhartszell organized journeys are in case of an insolvency by a bank guarantee with the savings bank Peuerbach under the N°. 33798 secured.
